NFL Added At Last

2005-09-17 19:25:33 GMT

It may come as a surprise, but I've always had a cunningly devised grand masterplan for this website. Without boring you with the details, the summary of the blueprint is this: achieve total and absolute world domination. Sadly, progress towards this goal has thus far been slow. However, the good news is that today sees an important step in the right direction with the launch of FF's coverage of NFL.

If you're an NFL fan, you will perhaps notice that this release has come after the completion of the Week 1 games. Needless to say, this was not part of the cunningly devised grand masterplan. I could trot out a long list of excuses, but I will instead take an even less honourable option and lay the blame squarely at the feet of the utterly ridiculous and frighteningly convoluted NFL Tiebreaking Procedures. It is really quite difficult to imagine how a concensus could have ever been reached over this document. In any case, I hope you'll find the NFL section of this website useful and I hope you can trust me about the Week 1 NFL results.

Incidentally, I've got a number of other sports and leagues in the pipeline, as well as a cavalcade of features on a very long to-do list. All things being equal, there will be a lot happening here in the coming months. Hopefully I'll finally get around to finishing the Blog and Forecast Comments that have been "coming soon" for far too long.
