FantasyGames.com.au - Picks for the $1K Weekend Tournament
fantasygames.com.au is Australia's place to play daily fantasy sports. With real cash prizes, unrivalled specials/promotions and the ultimate innovative platform, register and start playing daily fantasy today!
For those that might find the Supercoach scoring system a little too confusing, Fantasy Games is much easier to understand. Points are distributed for possessions, tackles, goals & hitouts. Nothing to do with clangers, disposal efficiency or hitouts to advantage?. So it's simple to follow and win!
If you consider yourself an AFL Fantasy specialist, then you'll fancy your chances in the massive $1,000 AFL Round 2 Guaranteed Contest. Prize money is paid out down to 8th spot. (1st - $300, 2nd - $200, 3rd - $150, 4th & 5th - $100, 6th 7th 8th -$50).
We have analysed the fixtures and listed our picks for the tournament that can help you score big and win you the cash this weekend!
(Note: All prices are courtesy of Fantasy Games and based on a $115,000 salary cap).
VALUE PICK
Sam Kerridge (CARL) MID $4,600 - Rd2 Opponent: Sydney
As I mentioned last week, Kerridge is still the best value player in the game. 101 pts against Richmond in the season opener, making him the best cost:points ratio player in the game. Adding Kerridge to your midfield will enable you to splash out for premiums elsewhere.
Mark LeCras (WCE) FWD $4,700 - Rd2 Opponent: Hawthorn
LeCras carried his pre-season form into the round 1 clash with Brisbane. He often doesn't get the headlines, but with 25 disposals, 9 marks and 2 goals, he performed amazing in fantasy terms. He has not had that price rise yet, and despite a tough match-up against Hawthorn, is the best value option in the forwards.
Matthew Leuenberger (ESS) RUCK $10,400 - Rd2 Opponent: Melbourne
Most starting Ruckmen are double the price of Leuenberger but won?t necessarily give you double the amount of pts. 94pts against the Suns last week wasn't a bad return on debut for the Bombers, especially for that price. It will enable you to load up on the big guns in the midfield and forward line.
BIG GUNS
Heath Shaw (GWS) DEF $20 300, Rd2 Opponent: Geelong
While Shaw was affected in SC by his Disposal Efficiency, he managed to pump out one of the biggest scores for a backman in Fantasy Games. 117 pts from his 30 touches! Just keeps racking them up down back, I'd expect another big one against the Cats on Sunday.
Patrick Dangerfield (GEE) MID $21 600, Rd2 Opponent: GWS
THE hype player at the moment! Has taken Geelong by storm on debut, instantly a crowd favorite after his 43 touches against Hawthorn on Easter Monday. That translated to a massive 141 pts in Fantasy Games. What's to stop him having another blinder this week?
Tom Mitchell (SYD) MID $18,800, Rd2 Opponent: Carlton
He had a totally complete fantasy performance in round 1 - scoring points in every category on his way to a mammoth 142. With the game predicted to pan out in the same fashion for Sydney, he will have the time and space to score this well again. With other high-priced midfielders in tough match-ups, he could very well be a solid captain choice.
That's our tips folks. Discuss in the comments thread if you have your own ideas and suggestions on who'll dominate this weekend.
Good luck, Coaches!
